Retego Aegis reads pre-loaded cuvettes to measure iron and metals, corrosion and scale drivers, and general chemistry from a single sample, returning a quantitative result for each in minutes. The full panel is grouped below.
Iron and metals: ferrous iron (Fe2+), ferric iron (Fe3+), total iron, low level iron, manganese, copper, lead, chromium (Cr(VI)).
Corrosion and scale drivers: sulfide (H2S), sulfate (SO4), chloride, halide, alkalinity, calcium hardness, magnesium.
General chemistry: pH, conductivity, total dissolved solids, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, sodium, potassium, barium, boron, chlorine (free, total, residual). Specialty: PFAS/PFOS, perchlorate, fat oil and grease.

At the core of Retego Aegis is a multivariate optical detection method that reads pre-loaded cuvettes across multiple wavelengths simultaneously. Rather than relying on a single-wavelength absorbance measurement, the method used by conventional field colorimeters, the detector captures a complete optical signature for each sample. That signature is compared against Retego's calibration library, producing a quantitative result in minutes for any of the 60+ parameters in the cuvette range.
The method has three practical advantages in the field. First, it needs no reference standards or manual calibration procedures that lab instruments require. Second, it produces quantitative results, not the qualitative color changes of strip tests. Third, it works on real-world samples, including produced water, frac flowback and raw industrial water, without the cleanup or pre-filtration that bench instruments demand.
